Amplify-Eneida Betty Carmen

Betty Francisco is a recognized community leader and diversity champion. She serves on a number of non-profit and advisory boards in greater Boston with a focus on youth, education, entrepreneurship and women’s advancement. She is the co-founder of Latina Circle, a non-profit social venture that is advancing Latina leaders across industries into positions of power and influence, and which recently launched the Amplify Latinx initiative to increase Latino civic engagement and leadership representation across business, civic and government sectors. As part of its work, the Latina Circle facilitates connections between organizations seeking Latinx talent for board service and leadership positions.

Betty is also member of the Board of Trustees of Roxbury Community College, the Board of Directors of the Greater Boston YMCA, the Board of Directors of Boston Educational Development Fund and the Board of Corporators of Eastern Bank. She serves as an advisory member for the Boston Women’s Commission under Mayor Martin Walsh, the Advisory Council for The Capital Network and Bentley University’s School of Arts and Sciences. Betty has also served on the Board of Directors of the YWCA Boston and the Association of Corporate Counsel’s (ACC) Northeast Chapter, where she co-chaired the Diversity Committee and Programs Committee. In addition, Betty is the former EVP of the Boston Chapter of ALPFA, the largest Latino professional organization in the country. There she led the ALPFA Law program from 2010 – 2013 which provides Latino attorneys with career development and networking opportunities.
